I'm sure someone could make some up for you? I have a little experience with bow making, Are they for backing wood bows? You would want thin strips of unidirectional with one side suitable for bonding.

Do you mean pre-made strip or raw unidirectional carbon strip?

In terms of pre-made strip we have our Carbon Fibre Strip in a range of sizes but it doesn't seem to be commonly used by bowmakers in our experience.

A lot of bowmakers are hand laminating thier own layup using mostly Uni-directional Carbon fibre such as our
Carbon Fibre Unidirectional 250g with a woven fabric such as our ProFinish Carbon Fibre 2/2 Twill for the outer faces of the laminate for cosmetic and overall all round strength.  The ProFinish version is used because it tends to stay in one piece when cut into thin strips where as normal woven cloth is very hard to keep together. Resin wise most seem to be happy with our EL2 Epoxy Laminating Resin.

The specifics of the layup seem to differ based on each bowmakers preference, some using mostly carbon, others using a mix of carbon and wood laminates, others using mostly wood and carbon purely for cosmetic reasons.

Gentlemen - Yes I would like thin strips of unidirectional with two side`s suitable for bonding. In order to sandwich between wood laminations.

Since you are already laminating wood, then adding unidirectional CF fabric strips is straight forward..

What kind of "glue" are you using to laminate the wood strips --- Epoxy - If not then do switch to epoxy -- Simply wet out the unidirectional strips thoroughly with  epoxy directly onto your wood strips.

Build up a "stack" and  compress ...   I take it that you have some sort of shaped "compression" setup to shape the limbs ?

I have built a couple of straight longbows this way -- and an experimental set of recurve limbs for my compound hunting bow handle .. they work great!
