Is it ok to use cellulose lacquer on CF wrapped parts?

I've been using acryllic with mixed results and happen to have some Cellulose to hand

Hi,

If the surface is suitably prepared (sanded and degreased) there is no reason why cellulose lacquer shouldn't work to the best of my knowledge. I would imagine though that 2k acrylic and epoxy urethane systems will probably provide a more durable finish.

I would recommend testing the paint on a small area first to see how good the adhesion is before committing to a full component, to test this simply allow the coat to cure fully and then attempt to lift and peel the paint with a sharp knife blade, if it doesn't lift at all then you should be good to finish the component this way.
