Hi there, I live in Victoria, B.C. and I'm going to try and mold some body panels on my R32 GTR and try to make some vacuum bagged carbon fiber parts (epoxy resin). Ideally I would just buy the Easy Composite materials but they only ship ground for obvious reasons.
I have experience making some wet lay up parts for fun and I wanted to make some real carbon fiber parts now.
My question to forum is, can I use this type of tooling Gel and should I be worried about shrinkage and issue with release from the mold I make?
When I called they company they recommended the following for making the molds.
http://www.fibertek.ca/gelcoat.htm
(Black Tooling Gel Coat)
http://www.fibertek.ca/resin.htm
(FT150) for the tooling resin.
I would also like to say how informative this site is with the tutorial video's and the projects on the forum and quite inspiring
