When you made the inner brace, did you have to cut that out of the original door to make the mold of it? I have a brace that goes horizontally in a set of doors for me and feel that Im going to have to cut up a set of doors to make molds of them and would rather not since I had to have the doors sent over from Germany

Why would you need to cut it out of the door? It's the same process that EC cover in their making the bonnet tutorial. The inner skin mould is produced off the back of the outer skin mould. 

Sorry I didn't write that very well. I was meaning the vertical brace in the center of the door. Was that originally welded in and had to be cut out to make a mold? On my rs4 doors there is a brace thatbis welded between the inner and outer skin. Sorry I'm doing this on my phone so have to just paste a link. In the pic where the door is open you can see a brace going horizontally with 2 holes in it? I was wondering if yours was similarly welded in and you sacrificed the door after the outer mold was made to cut yours out and make a mold, or how I should attempt this. 

Yes you would remove it but not cut it out, you would only drill out the spot-welds so causing very little damage.

when you take the mould you would then fill the drill holes with wax and leave a tiny indent that can then be used as marker points for drilling and fitting the carbon support.
