Hello all.

I need suggestions on how to create a mold for this project. The cylinder is 6 " wide, 36" long. It more of an oval shape, not a perfect circle.  I'm stuck on a few design issues.

1:  If  I make a split mold, I will end up with two seams that I would prefer not to have.
2: If I use a single mold, and wrap the carbon around it, I end up with the inside of the tube with the nice finished surface
That will be hidden anyway.

To make a cylinder, one piece, with the nice outside finish exposed, how should I make my mold? Im going too buy product's soon, prepreg or infusion??? How would you do it? Thxs for the  suggestion's!

Hi, If you do go prepreg then I would consider an external split mould, layup each side with a lap at each layer into the other mould then put a pressure bladder down the middle and blow it up then cook for however long you need to with the prepreg you have.
