That is something you'd have to talk to the supplier about. You can get water clear PU resins.

Part of the problem is you are using polyester resin, that stuff gets hot during the cure (as you've found out!) I'd be on the hunt for a casting resin (possibly polyurethane) as it these resin don't create so much heat during it's cure cycle.

Hello All - I am trying to create a large clear casting (4.5kg of Resin). It will be cast in a clear glass container to create a water effect and I am looking to suspend an object in it. I know the issues with shrinkage but am so far using a Polyester Resin with minimal Catalyst. In an ideal world I am looking to cast in 1 hit to avoid any join lines but always have an issue with the cast overheating and then discolouring and cracking. Can anyone point me in the right direction to create what I am after? Thanks!!
