Im Struggling to achieve the results I want with wet lay Diolen, Does Carbon give a better visual finish than diolen?




I am also getting a lot of tiny air bubbles in the gelcoat which show on the finished product.




Ive tried letting the gel dry and layed up from wet but cant seem to get it right. Can you help?

Both materials should lay up just as well as each other. Diolen is slightly blacker than carbon when comparing the two side by side.

THe air bubbles are likely because you haven't spent enough time getting the air out.  You need to use a Bristle Roller repeatedly on the panel to ensure there is no air entrapped underneath.  You need to do this for each layer.
