Hi BoostSamurai,
When the website says that shipping would be £1000 what we're trying to do is stop you from placing the order, it's not that we'd ever charge that, it just means that we pretty much can't ship something in your basket to your location. FedEx used to offer a 'Dangerous Goods' service to Australia which we used for our Australian customers. At the start of this year they cancelled that service and so unfortunately, for the time being at least, we can't ship anything containing hazardous materials (any release agents, resins, catalysts etc.) to Australia. We'll keep looking for alternative carriers and we'll keep talking with FedEx to see if the situation can be changed but for the time being, if the website throws up a £1000 shipping cost, it's basically saying that we can't ship these goods to you.
For very large orders to Australia then we can actually arrange shipping (orders over 150kgs) by using a special logistics company but shipping by air all the way to Australia, especiall when it's DG is always going to be pricey.
All the best, Matt
