To me that looks like a complete "rebuild" of the rear part of the can... Crying ...

I would see if it is possible to remove the end part (Alu?) before attempting a repair. You may be able to repair it by simply shortening the can a bit... It will probably be a bit louder, but that may not be a problemSmile

I have never measured temperatures at the end of a can like that higher than 100 degrees on road bikes, but I would still recommend using high temp resin.

EC does a "high Temperature" Resin system..

I have used it on several repair jobs and when producing custom end caps and cans for bikes.

I have not had a single one of them fail due to heat.

It is very important to follow the post-cure schedule, to ensure the high temperature properties of the resin.

I have done a lot of measurements of temperatures on end cans for bikes, using an infrared thermometer and a heat camera, and I have never seen end cans reach 180 deg. centigrade, unless the downpipes and joiners were VERY short.

The more closed up and "silenced" the end cans are the more heat they extract from the exhaust gasses, and the more they heat up

CF really is not an ideal material for exhausts, it conducts heat poorly and looses its strength with temperature.

Titanium and Inconel are much better .. Cool
