I currently have a tooling for a sports performance canoe and I am sourcing any thoughts on stenciling designs in different colours prior to laying up. Could a clear gelcoat be sprayed locally and a decal/ sticker laid over the clear before the complete hull colour being applied? Cheers

Group: Forum Members Posts: 69, Visits: 652	Hello imig, I would recommend just adding decals when craftis finished,, yes you could spray a local clear and then put coloured gel over the top, but I think you would get a colour variation where you sprayed the clear, Kind Regards The Fibreglass King

Group: Forum Members Posts: 69, Visits: 652	Hi imig, There should be no problem, but you need to make sure you apply the first gel correctly and it has cure property before you apply a second coat on top. Kind Regards The Fibreglass King
