Hi there.

After watching the how to do it video from easycomposites.

I'm trying to figure out what I should use for making a carbon bonnet using infusion.

Problem is my bonnet is "slightly bigger" as in 138*132 cm.

The upper part is not a problem using the video, as there is a 1.5m version

but there is only 1m 400+ fabrics for lower part.

Do any of you have a solution for this?

My thoughts on some options

2-3 layers of 450g 1m where I have a break in each layer at different points.

Cheapest carbon solution from what is available at easycomposites,

but is it strong enough for reinforcement when layers are not in one piece?

Also not so pretty, but no one sees that bit anyway. Whistling

  3-4 layers of 195g 1.5m

Safe solution but way more expensive.

1 layer of 195g 1.5m with 2-3 split diolen layers

still a bit of carbon and diolen cuts the cost drastically.

4-5 layers of diolen is cheaper though but will it be stiff enough for reinforcing a bonnet?
