HI Guys,
Registering on here mainly for extra advice and tips.
Having used Fibreglass to build audio bits n piece's in the past I moved on to Hemp Composites and Carbon Fibre for my dissertation.
Now Im slowly trying to further the idea of actually producing viable products and projects.
And being able to discuss common interests are always good!
So Hi!

As above welcome, hopefully you will find what you need on here. Where in Lancashire are you? I'm in Todmorden West Yorkshire so we may not be too far from each other. I run a small (just me
) composites business if you are ever around Tod pop in for a brew and a chat.

I Have nothing so far, bar the flat panel I made and tested as part of the report. I was intending to make a bumper up for a rally driver I work with, but time and money is the killer.

Im over in Preston, have a little garage/lock up in preston where I do most of my car stuff, mainly hobbyist, but trying to go full time self employed with it if it picks up untill then, its anyones game
Always worked primarily with fibreglass building audio enclosures, and now its getting more professional.
Currently getting ready to get some fibreglass in for a project we have on the go on an MG, so i can make some moulds up and make some CF or hemp parts. but need to make the practice runs first. so that i can fine tune it all as I have never worked with gel coat before just made straight parts then filler and paint.
Chris where abouts are you?
Also looking into embossing my logo into the parts or stamping/stickering .

Hi and welcome, I'm just around the corner from you based just outside Blackburn in Rishton
Most of the bits I've made have been in fibreglass wet layed but also joined up with the thought of using carbon and other methods of moulding. To date I've had a go at RTM using carbon with some success but it's more a hobby for me. Great forum for info as some of the members have so much knowledge in composites.
Drop us a PM if your ever in the area and fancy a chat & brew
Phil
