I'm going to be putting some vinyl stickers on some carbon fibre parts, and will be having a friendly spray shop owner to clear coat over them.

Any issues with this plan? Any help will be most appreciated!

Nope, standard practice. Just make sure everything is well degreased and stuck down. Lay a few mist coats down first before building up to heavier coats. Lay the clear down too heavy too quickly and the clear can creep under the edges and lift the vinyl.
