Little bit of progress but it isn't at the top of the priority list at the moment, have a few other projects on the go. Not enough time in a day!
All I've done really is I blocked up the undercut underneath the clip, and made a silicone block mould. I then casted the clip with pigmented casting resin, so I have an exact copy. My problem is now how to go about restoring the undercut whilst maintaining the rest of the clip. So far my only solution is to just cut out the clip and not have it exactly the same as factory with the little side tabs, but I really would like to figure out a way to keep it all OEM. So haven't progressed any further than that.

Hey all,
Apologies for another 'how to mould this' thread, but I could use some advice.
I want to reproduce my cars fuse box cover, but it has a clip on the side which I'm not sure how to go about replicating:
I know the undercut means I won't be able to make it straight from the mould, but would I be able to cast it perhaps and bond it back on after? How would I go about that? I'd like to produce a few of these, so I don't want to cut this one off and bond it on again later. It is effectively the only thing holding the lid in place, so it does need to be there.
