Group: Forum Members Posts: 468, Visits: 3.5K	coleio (19/03/2014) do you have a link to where you got your elements, like ebay? how much does it cost you to run your oven with all three elements being used? and what temp do you set it at? The elements come from an oven spares supplier, they are a finned type. As I understand in Australia power costs about 20c per kw so my oven with 3000W (3kw) costs about 60c per hour if all the elements on. Typically the elements flick on and off with the controller doing its job so they are not actually on or running all the time. Group: Forum Members Posts: 468, Visits: 3.5K	Those are outdoor heaters, I don't think these could be placed inside an oven. My own oven is 4m x 1.1m x 1.1m and has 3 x 1000W finned electric elements. A rough guess for your size oven relative to mine, you may need about 4000W total. Group: Forum Members Posts: 68, Visits: 285	for all those with experience with diy ovens what do you guys think of this http://jhcool.en.alibaba.com/product/745674249-218029378/New_tech_infrared_heaters_far_infrared_heaters_Quick_ship_.html?edm_src=sys&edm_type=fdbk&edm_grp=0&edm_cta=read_msg&edm_time=realtime&edm_ver=e specifically the 1000w one. thinking about having a compartmentable oven. 2m x 1.5m x 5m, with the option of adding partitions to reduce space to .5m x 1.5m x 2m how many of these do you think i would need to heat the entire space? taking in the need for temp ramping in short amount of time and if anyone knows of a better way of heating please, let me know
