Hi guys,
I plan on making a mold for some motorcycle parts (headlight surround unit and air intake covers) which have some "inserts" on the inside, which are used to fix these parts to the bike.
Making these inserts don't pose a problem to me, as I have a 3D printer at home, but my issue is, how to position them to the exact same spot as on original part.

Any ideas on how to do it?

Kind regards,
Luka

If you have a 3d printed I would print some jigs and bond the brackets on afterwards.
When making the mould if you have some features on it to transfer to the part to aid location of the jig and brackets that will help
