I think I can manage to do complex hollow shapes using positive dissolving molds, aka mandrels. 3d printers make it easy to create objects out of high impact polystyrene, which conveniently dissolves with d-limonene. [On a side note, some new tech using "SR 30" FDM sounds like a high temperature version.] Ultimately my question is: will the particular resin used for the infusion mix be damaged by exposure (most likely several hours) to d-limonene, assuming I use as low a residual acid content/purity I can get (99,5ish)? Only information I could find period was about using orange oil on floorboards...

Acording to an MSDS i could find on d-limonene, epoxy has a very good resistance to it.

I would ensure the part is fully cured before going near it with chemicals.

Acetone is also used for dissolving polystyrene and 100% fully cured epoxy is fine with acetone too.

You would be best doing a bit of a postcure at elevated temperature as most epoxies when hard at room temperature are still not 100% cured.
