Hey everyone,  Im new to composites.  I am getting into this to make my own carbon fiber parts for my cars, as Im sure many others are.  I was hoping some one more seasoned than me could give me a few pointers.  The main thing im expecting trouble with is going to be making a good mold.  Look forward to hearing back from you guys. Thanks

Ben

Hey Chris,

Yes, I have watched every detailed video I could find on YouTube.  I have a pretty good understanding of the whole process just seems as though making a good mold will be the most important part.  So naturally I want to get good at that before I start spending lots of money on carbon fiber sheets.

Have any of you, with your own shop/business, ever taken on a intern?  I was thinking about finding someone local who could show me the ropes.

Hi Ben, Welcome!
Sure you'll find what you need on this forum Wink
The most important thing is to DO (and sometimes fail) to learn how to work with composites Wink
Watching a lot of videos is a big step in the process as well!
