Hi ,

I’m a hobbyist and I  enjoy making things using Metal or Wood and more recently - fibreglass composites.

My first experience with composites came when I was a young fellow; I raced Formula Vee and then Formula Ford racing cars. Because I didn’t have much money, I turned to making Fibreglass body panels and nose cones for other drivers to make some cash, then marriage, kids and a mortgage came and put an end to it all.

Fast forward 25 years and the kids have grown, the mortgage is almost gone and the wife is happy watching TV So I guess I have time to indulge in some hobbies.

Right now I’ve started making an Air Box for my sons car and then I have a bunch of other Fibreglass and Carbon projects lined up.

My reasons for joining is to learn from others, hear their thoughts and ideas as well as possibly contributing in my own way to the forum community.

Welcome. Lots of useful info on here and they are a friendly bunch ( well most of the time ) Look forward to seeing some of your work. Motorsport is my thing and most of the parts I make are for that market.
