Hi, in general, when it is better to use one or another?
On my specific case, I need to bond stainless steel to carbon fiber panel.
Appearance is not important.
The bond has to resist pull force, pull shocks, salt water.
UV resistance is desired but the part could be coated for UV protection so no big deal.

Thanks
Massimiliano

the carbon with soric is not bad,
The problem with glueing is that any axial and angled force can breake the bond du to deformation in the bonded area.
Definetly MMA because it allows a bit of movement, Epoxy will just snap once the max force is exceeeded
As said in another post, if epoxy goes it goes with a bang, there are usally no warnings or signs of stress before that happans.

After all that all is subject tio testing, with a soric SF core, using rivets or bolts should not be a problem but need penny washers with a nylon between fibre and metal or backplate

Yes, exactely my experience. MMA accepts a big displacement causes inner delamination. For this type of flanges I'd recommend to make insert connecting both skins, and the best is make punches on skins, or on one of them, connecting each other and around this place cut off the core.
