Hi,

What structural adhesive would be suitable to bond aluminum to aluminum?  I need something which will practically destroy the aluminum before the bond breaks if such an adhesive exists that is!!

Thanks

Any good structural epoxy will do very well. My pick would be Araldite 2015.

The difficulty with aluminium is it oxidises super quickly, like virtually instantly after you have prepped it. So you end up bonding to the oxide layer rather than the aluminium itself, and this always fails first. There are methods you can use to prep the ali to enhance the bond, but for most applications it isnt necessary.
