Hello all

This year I was re-doing the epoxy on my carbon fiber lip that looks like this. to make it looks more like new.

Now I also have a huge hole on the bottom that I just wanted to ''reinforce'' to make sure it doesn't get worse as well since I'll have it off.

My idea was to lay 3-4 layers of fiberglass cloth from the inside and once cured out on the outside apply body filler to level it up to the bottom of the lip and just paint over that with some black to blend in with the rest of the part.

I was wondering what more experienced people and what anyone could comment on my current idea for fixing? I got the re-epoxy part of the lip understood and ready to go but I'm still consider myself pretty noob for like hole repairs and not to sure what would be best or if my idea is a acceptable idea or it wont' do anything.

Here is how to hole look from the underside.

Also another related question,. what grit should I sand or wetsand my epoxy once it's cured to before spraying it with some 2k clear? If it matters I am using West System 105 resin with 207 special clear hardener.
