Hi everyone! I am ready to make my first big order and I am being charged $1,000  to ship to the United States..THATS RIDICULOUS!!

Are there any USA distributers of this product or how do you United States manufactures get the items shipped to you without paying thousands of dollars extra??

Thanks

-Steve

I have been through this many times. They do not have or plan to have a warehouse in USA.

I tried telling them this is killing USA based business' meh seems like UK is treating them well. I still wonder why the discussion forum focus is over ".com" here but all there customers seem to be from UK not USA.

a .com web address is always more desirable than a .co.uk or others and to be fair the forum is not just for EC customers but for anyone interested in composites.  You will also notice that the retail websites are .co.uk

setting up and operating a warehouse thousands of miles away is no cheap or easy accomplishment and would require significant investment to get it up and running. It quite simply may well not be a financially viable prospect.  True there may a a couple of dozen customers from the USA on this forum regularly buying goods but a couple dozen customers doesnt support a warehouse and its a big risk to assume youre business growth will be adequate to support a US based distribution warehouse.  not forgetting different tax and export/import laws, the need to work out supply contracts, staff costs etc etc.
