Hello,

I am looking for 6-10 oz/200g/m2 glass fiber prepreg (woven and UD) but all the ones I've found online are much higher in weight. Is prepreg not available in such low weight? I would be very grateful if any one can point me in the right direction.

Regards,
Aisha

Often pre-pregs are listed by their total weight including resin, rather than just the fibre weight as dry fabrics are sold. So a 285g pre-preg is likely to be a 200g fabric unless stated otherwise.

Easy composites weights are for the fabric only. All the prepregs I have bought have been listed as fabric weight so I have to add around 40% to the listed weight to calculate total weight.

No, just a simple Google search :-)

Yeh they dont all do it, which is where it gets confusing. The fiberglass pre-pregs I buy are listed as total weight, so thought it worth mentioning.

Yeah, I was somewhat disappointed when I first found out that the posted weights didn't include the resin and I had to add 40% :-( Total weight seems the obviously figure to use, but I understand that some companies (SHD for example) offer various resins with differing %ages. I have had two prepregs from them, one at 38% and the other at 43%.

Can anyone please shed some light on how u go about figuring the curing temp of the epoxy in the prepreg? Big companies usually mention them but some suppliers dont. For example the link below doesnt mention the cure temp or time, if I am not wrong epoxies can have a varying range of curing temps and time.

There is no way to figure it out, you need to contact the supplier.
