Hey guys

I am new in this and am very interested in the way it works and the finished pieces. I am looking into making and (hopefully) selling carbon fibre car parts, specifically focusing on japanese cars and vw camper vans.

Just a few questions...

1. When making a rear spoiler or front splitter, what is the easiest and most effective way to make it? ie. in 2 parts upper and lower and fuse together, and if so how would you recommend fusing them together with small visable joins?

2. Would it work if i vacuumed the product after brushing the resin/hardner on, so it'll be sealed till cured but done manually? Only because I havent bought the vacuum infusion gear yet and was wondering if I could do it without at the mo, by using a clothes vacuum bag and a hoover lol.

Hope I dont sound too much like a dumb ass haha

Many thanks

Al

Good morning.
When using clothes vacuum bags and a hoover, this is a good process for making flat sheeting, but not much else to be honest, and your always going to have problems with dry areas using this method. Good process to learn from to start with, but i would recommend swiftly jumping up to the next stage (although it is an expensive outlay) your finished product will be 200% better.
