I have a stone/concrete water feature with a long crack in the base which makes it leak.  I have tried various things but none of them have worked. I have been told that I can cure this problem by coating the inside of the base and sides with epoxy resin. Would you please let me know if this is correct, and, if so, what do I need to do.

One or more pictures of the problem will give you much better and more qualified answers Smile

I have sealed cracks is various materials with Epoxy, depending on your problem it may well work.

I repaired a cracked (in two halves) stone basin (bird basin... i think they are called in English??) by cleaning the inside by sandblasting, and then laminating in a layer of glassfibre with epoxy (West Systems 105 with UV stable hardener)

I "glued together the two halves with the same epoxy ..

When filled with water, you can not tell that the inside is coated with epoxy, but the crack is faintly visible all around.

If it helps I have a 'waterfall' feature which I cast in concrete and I have flowing into a pond.  I sealed this with a thick coat of polyester resin and it works just fine.  I'd have thought this would be OK to seal up the cracks in yours.  Depending on the size of the crack you might want to add some chopped ends to fill in the crack better.
