Hi, professors, I have a question how to cut the cost of 120°C composites tooling system.
the dimensional accuracy we hope will be ±0.5mm or ±0.2mm。the part what I want would be used in general industry: car,train,boat,sport,medical,plane,.....
I don't want to use tooling epoxy block to make the master mould, and also I dont want to use the epoxy Tooling prepregs to laminate the tooling.
this tow metirials is too expensive and the process cost a lot.
do we have any other choice?

The thing is that the tooling resin/prepregs you are talking about are designed to meet this exact requirement i.e. initial elevated temp cure at 50-60deg then are dimensionally stable for an off the mould high temp post cure
