For all the work they put into it, Google Translate still just doesn't work that well Laugh

Ok, well you said for a 'car engine'. Basically you are restricted by the heat capabilities of your resin system. You can get quite high temperature epoxies especially if you are using pre-preg, though I gather that you are not. I also don't know where you are based, so I can't say what resin systems are available to you. Where I am, the highest temperature resin I can get without requiring a mortgage or the sale of my mortal soul is 96 degrees Celcius. Which when talking about car engines, is not very high at all.

So it all depends on what it is you're planning on making. Carbon fibre engine covers and various other cosmetic items? No problem. Carbon fibre engine block or exhaust manifolds? Some problems.

I sometimes worry what I'm sending when I use google!

If it's just a cover to replace a plastic one, most normal epoxies will be suitable. There is obviously exceptions depending on exhaust/turbo positions, but standard road cars will rarely have oil temps much over 100' and with an air gap between cam cover and carbon, there is not that much heat transfer. Our formula ford bobbies are glass and poly and run very close to the exhaust with little issue

As said above, temperature is key.  It is always better to actually measure the temperature rather than estimate. That way you KNOW you are using a suitable resin system.  You do not want your parts to go soft and get ruined.
