Iv been doing afew moulds using the unimould system .I'm a complete newb at the mo and I'm just getting a feel for it before I jump into the infusion part.

So my first mould came out more or less perfect and that was with
Easy lease
2coats of gel coat
2 layers of 80g csm
3 layers of 450g csm

But the second mould of a different part had really bad print thru on the part and the mould and that was with
Easy lease
Release wax
1 layer of gelcoat(as thick as I could)
2 layers 80g
2 layers 450g

I just want to know what's maybe gone wrong and if I can save the mould by sanding it flat and using high build primer or something
Any help appreciated

Both parts were black plastic panels off my car although the one with the problem was a glossy finish but I don't think it was laquerd defo no primer
Both moulds released without a problem at all and the temps were more or less the same cuz I did it in my dining room lol stuff stinks
The gelcoat was left a little longer on the second part it still had tak but very slightly same with the coupling coat on the sencond
And I left the part for a good 10/12 hours and it was all that creamy white colour
Thanks warren il try get some pics later
