Hi! My fridge just broke up and I thought that I could use it as a some kind of oven/hot box to speed up curing of resin ( or even just archive min.15degrees as it is winter now). I stripped all things that could melt, from the inside. Side walls and doors are made from metal sheet, isolated with some foam, which is gone now. Roof and back wall was made out of plastic and foam, so they are gone now. I replaced them with some paper covered with aluminium foil - I had some leftovers, because I demounted my sauna month ago. As a floor I put 2mm metal sheet and I will put vaccum film to prevent permanent stains on metal. Curently I have this old oven, it works but could be better, I will replace it with oven that has an integrated fan to spread the heat properly. I can cure parts with or without the oven inside, it easly keeps the heat for 2,5h. With oven inside my resin(LG385 and LH385 - fast hardener) curese in 2h, in 70degrees. I am looking for some cheap, decent, heat resistant isolation to place outside of the fridge. The freezer remains the same, I use it as a shelf for resin&stuff. I attach some photos. Enjoy Sorry for my english, but I am tired now as it is late Bye Wojtek from Poland |
