Can any one tell me what the max. thickness that can be infused at one time

I need to have a total thickness of 10mm

can this be done in one shot

It is all going to be fibreglass and the layup is going to be

2x 80 gram
2x 200 gram
2x 300 gram 90 def
2x 300 gram 45deg
2x 300 gram 90 def
2x 300 gram 90 def
2x 300 gram 45deg
2x 300 gram 45deg

until 10mm is reached and then

2x 80 gram
2x 200 gram
to balance the layup

is this possible any help would be great

Thanks

As said it depends both on the material and the resin viscosity.

With our IN2Epoxy Infusion Resin  10mm is probably about as thick as you want to go with glass, especially if its a tighter plain weave as opposed to the looser twill weaves.

A point to note with all thick laminates is you need to slow the infusion down with a line clamp on the resin feed to allow the resin to soak through all the fabric layers.  If you let it whizz accross normally then you may well have pin holes, voids and dry patches.
