Removing mould release residue

What can I use to remove it from my part? Last time I was so focused on trimming and finishing the edges of my part that I completely forgot about the residue left by the release wax and I started lacquering it. Needless to say, the part was ruined. I've read online that warm water and a little bit of rubbing with soap should do the trick. Other places say that acetone should be used. What do you guys recommend?

Hi!
Acetone is ok but personally I recommend easy lease mould cleaner, it cleans all things that could contaminate your final part . Why do you use wax instead of chemical release agent? It is easier to apply, you don't have to to polish it, also it is semi permanent so if do multiple parts from your mould you don't have apply so many times everytime.  And it doesn't build extra thickness to your mould so your parts would be more accurate. Of course you can use dish soap but it would dry ages,  and soap is not way how pro laminators do their cleaning. Water is recommended only when using pva as it is water based release agent.
I think it is clear now Wink
