Hi folks,
I am trying to do up a shopping list for a repair to a boat.
I need to make some panels to match what is currently there and I was wondering if anyone can provide a sizing guide on how many layers of Woven Glass 290g I would need to make a laminate 6mm thick?
Also how can I calculate how much resin 1sqm of this laminate at 6mm thick I need using infusion resin IN2?

As a broad brush estimate, you will need 3-4 layers of the glass per mm of laminate. It depends obviously how well you consolidate the layers and/or use vacuum bagging or similar to compress.

In terms of resin weight, you are looking at roughly the same weight in resin as the weight of reinforcement for wet lay. Plus a little extra for mixing and wastage.
