Hello
I have a fairly unusual item that I wondered if I can make using composites.

My shrimp net is coming to the end of its days and the downsides of using steel is that its heavy and rusts (particularly as it is used in salt water).  I have attached a picture of my net and wondered if anyone can tell me a/ is it possible to make this hoop shape in composite. b/ will it be comparable in strength with my steel one and c/ what is the best way to make it?

Thanks for any help!

If you can, embed them now, preferably with a load spreading washer or similar screwed on.  Carbon doesnt like raw threads so much so you can easily rip out a screw or similar if its not bonded in properly or doesnt have any way of spreading the load over an area.
