Not those for wearing but woven tubes with a woven closed end? I saw this on a car forum and wnated to give it a go, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Easy ... that one ... 
Just take a short piece of braided sleeve, tie off one end with nylon, CF tow or something ... then gently turn the "sock" inside out ...
You now have a very leaky carbon fibre condom ... ... Slide over your part .. (this IS getting a bit ....  )
work from there....
