After sanding down the mould to remove the edging marks of the release tape there is the odd 'vein' (more capillary) of coupling coat coming through the gelcoat. There maybe two on the whole mould, so I'd imagine the gelcoat thickness, overall, is fit for purpose?
Can these be ignored, or must I repair? For the repair, do I take a small very shallow divot on the vein, fill with gelcoat, and sand over. It's time consuming, so if I can ignore it I will...
Cheers!
