Epoxy Worktops

Hi,

I've seen videos where somebody creates a simple formwork around the front edge an old kitchen worktop and pours clear or pigmented epoxy resin over the worktop up to an inch or so, popping small surface bubbles with a blow torch and quickly transforming it into a beautiful glass-like surface with no unsightly carpentry joins. Question is:

1. What's the best epoxy for this? I'm thinking 'coating resin'?
2. Providing it's level, is this as easy as it looks or will I be entering a world of pain?

Thanks for your help.

We are currently researching a supplier for a suitable table top type resin as we get a LOT of enquiries about such resins now.  Such resins are a lot harder to find than even we thought but we are making progress and hopefully will have something in the next few months if our research goes to plan.
