do you have data for the material properties of the various chopped strand mats on the site after being combined with polyester resin, data for combining with epoxy resin would also be appreciated

in particular

density
tensile modulus
compressive modulus
(failing these a general youngs modulus)
ultimate tensile strength
ultimate compressive strength
poissons ratio

any help would be greatly appreciated

CSM is rarely used as a "High performance" laminate so as a result we have struggled to find the data you want online. I imagine it probably exists in paper format and just hasnt migrated onto online as most of the traditional users of CSM will already be aware of the material properties.

We have been able to find some representative data for 450gsm CSM in a Polyester resin based laminate with 31% of the matrix being glass.

PROPERTY                   METHOD                     UNIT                  RESULT
Tensile Strength         IS03268/DIN53455             Mpa                      108
Tensile Elongation        IS03268/DIN53455               %                        1.8
Tensile Modulus            IS03268/DIN53455              Mpa                        7800
Flexural Modulus                     ISO 178                     Mpa                         6770
Flexural Strength                       ISO 178                     Mpa                           204
Flexural Elongation                     ISO 178                       %                               3.4

The only way to get more data would be approaching the manufacturer directly of the specific chopped strand matt that you want to use and seeing if they hold a electronic file they can send or scan a paper copy.
