Hello from a very cold Switzerland. I work here at Ecole Polytechnique Federale De Lausanne (EPFL) as an Composite Manufacturing Technician.

Been in composites since about 1986 starting with aircraft interiors(very boring). Spent the majority of my career working in Formula One so very familiar with prepregs and autoclaves. Now find myself dealing with thermaplastics used in compression molding as well as thermosets for resin infusion/injection in some interesting projects.

Hope to be able to help and receive some help.

hi Rob,
Welcome to the forum, good to hear of your experience in thermoplastics used in compression molding. I wonder if this process could by used in rapid production of parts for small airplanes like 2 to 4 seaters.  I always wonder if we could built sport airplanes like we build cars.
