Pultruded Carbon Fibre Square Box Section 10mm (8mm) technical data

The product page for the 10mm carbon fibre square box section quotes the tensile modulus as 28-40GPa. This seems incredibly low for carbon - its around half what would be expected of aluminium. Is this correct, because a number around 220GPa would usually be expected for modern CFRP. Any explanation or help would be most useful.

Also the table displays the units in the direction column and the the direction in the unit column.

Table shows typical empiracle values for Easy Composites' carbon fibre pultruded tubes, strips and box sections. The testing was carried out to standards under ASTM D638/GB1447-83 as a representative test for the performance of the fibres rather than an exact measurement for each of the different box sections/pultrusions.

The figures are supplied by the manufacturer from thier own testing.

It may not be the exact answer you want for the exact pultrusion you are looking for.  There is no other way of getting more figures without individually testing each pultrusion size as well as a number of lengths.
