Any practice ideas.

I have just had everything delivered to do resin infusion. I have made my mould, and am pretty much ready to go.
I am fairly nervous about making the 1st one. Does anybody have any tips on doing some kind of practice run?

The carbon material is rather expensive, and I was toying with the idea of using some other kind of fabric for a practice run, would this work the same?

That is the nice thing about infusion. There is really no rush involved in the initial stages. You can really take your time doing the layup properly and making sure you have a 100% sealed bag. Once you are happy (it can take several hours and possibly a few vacuum bags when you are first starting out), then go ahead and carefully mix and degas resin, then infuse at the correct pace.

Planning and preparation make a big difference in your outcome.

cheers

That's really true... from my very little experience wet layup is really a mess and stressing experience if compared to infusion!
