Now I'm about ready to take a mould, I'm thinking ahead to the layup for the final part,
I'm planning to use the following - it's a 1.5m x 1m part
200g Pro-finish carbon < not sure if this is required to avoid the white soric showing through> 195g carbon 2mm soric - trimmed just shy of the edges carbon tape to build up the edge outside of the soric 195g carbon vacuum bag
I'm not sure if I need the layer before the soric, and also not sure if I need peel ply or infusion mesh anywhere. The soric page says you just need: Mould Surface | Reinforcement | Soric SF | Reinforcement | Vacuum Bag
But the tutorial video shows them using peel ply, and infusion mesh around the edge where the soric finishes
Any advice appreciated! James

Here's a video I've made with Lantor Soric, Didn't had the most perfect results on the finish with it, but I would have to test it once again to find where I've made a mistake, will do it when I find some time... |
