Hello, I have just finished constructing a plywood aquarium and  going to seal the inside of the tank with epoxy resin.  I have  enough epoxy to give it a couple of coats from a previous project.  It was a general purpose epoxy resin purchased last year. Would I be able to use your resin on top for an additional couple of coats? I did'nt know weather all epoxy resins were compatible.

Hi,

My suggestion for this would be our Epoxy Coating Resin. Epoxies have good resistance to water ingress and our Epoxy Coating Resin has a nice viscosity for this kind of work and overcoats itself very well.

In terms of being able to go over your previous epoxy; yes, this should be fine. The one thing I would suggest to ensure compatibility is that you allow any coats of your previous epoxy to fully cure and then key the surface with a coarse abrasive paper before applying our epoxy. Subsequently, when applying multiple coats of our epoxy you only need to allow each coat to cure to a 'B stage' (firm but still tacky) before applying the next layer. No keying would be necessary between coats of our Epoxy Coating Resin.
