Something new for me.
Im about to skin a few part on a polyester boat with gelgoat on it.
Can i just go epoxy on it then paint it or do i need to strip it back to the polyester itself? I understand the paint wont like it. But does the epoxy hold on to the gelcoat?
It will be cosmetic and doenst have anything to carry. So its not for additional strength. I will paint it with uv blocking clear after.
Or is it better to use polyester to stick it on.
