Hello all,

I hope this is a suitable area for this topic.

Quick introduction - I'm a stress engineer who works with carbon fibre (on screen) and looking to do a little side project to try and manufacture a small ornamental piece. I've been watching videos on easy composites and looking to make something made from a mould of two halves similar to the video below:

I'm looking for companies that will make me some patterns from epoxy tooling board like the one below. Has anyone got any recommendations? Ultimately I need them shipped to Switzerland however I think a UK company is probably going to be cheaper. I'm looking for 1-off patterns. Six parts in total. Maximum part size is 420x125x100mm.

Many thanks in advance.

If you have cad which as a stressed I'm sure you have.
Convert the part or the mould to a step file and upload it to plyable.com
It will give you an instant quote and it's very competitive on price.

There's plenty of machine shops in the UK that can help like shape, 5th dimension, fine line, pentaxia etc

Thanks for this..was just sending information off to some CNC workshops. I just stuck my step files into Plyable and got a quote - £4k for my 6 patterns. Looks like I'm buying myself a CNC machine for Christmas. Good to get a feel for it though.
