+xI am not aware of any surface coatings that improve scratch resistance. Once the resin has had its full cure (7 days) it should be as hard as it can be. The first week and especially the first few days, the resin can be more vulnerable to scratches as its hardness continues to develop for around 7 days. If the resin stays quite soft, it could be a very slight measuring error. If the mix ratio is slightly out, then it can mean the resin cures softer than it ordinarily would.
GlassCast already has a high level of UV resistance and as such is not likely to noticably yellow in indoor applications. However if you used it outdoors, then a PU lacquer or similar might be beneficial to improve UV resistance and slow down yellowing.
Hi Warren
Thanks very much for the advice, I think I must have got my measurements slightly out as the resin has been cured for over a month now. I will try and be more accurate next time.
Thanks again
