Hi i would like to know how would i create the border using flute signboard if there isn't a suitable flat spot to glue it on?
As you can see from the photos the finished carbon product which i want to make a mould of, has edges that curve inwards, there isn't a nice smooth flat surface to mount the fluteboard.

would i have to fill in the curve section with yellow filleting wax then glue the board onto the wax??

Any help would be much appreciated

cheers

If you get yourself a small block of closed cell foam from EC, you can cut some smaller blocks from this and bond these to the back of the part to give more of a surface on which to bond your signboard flange.

The foam can be sanded to the required depth quite easily.

Hot melt glue would work best for bonding and can be pulled away afterwards.

Wax wouldn't work as it wouldn't hold things in place very well. 7
