Hello,
I tried making tubes by wrapping prepreg around POM rod without using any release agent. after removing the part from oven, due to the thermal expansion of the POM rod, the cured tube jut slipped out.
I was curious to know if anyone has made tubes using other types of plastics( PTFE Teflon, PET, ) as a mandrel.
would be great to share your experiences

POM is one of the best materials in my opinion. PTFE would probably work even better due to the higher temperature stability, but isn't necessary and expensive. And to avoid deformation i would recommend to rest the tube in an aluminum angle extrusion during curing so everything stays straight.
