Hi everyone,
I am just starting into the hobby of mould making and duplicating of car parts. I have done some research on mould making and products but I haven't been able to find an answer to the issues that I have with the car part that I am wanting to duplicate. I am wanting to duplicate a Toyota shift bezel for a mid 80's Toyota that is no longer produced.
I know I will have to do a two part mold. I will have to back fill the shifter with clay, cast one side, then remove the clay, and cast the other side,.
The issue that I am stuck with are these small clips that are on the underside of the bezel that keeps the shifter boot in place. How do I go about making a mold with these? As I see it if I pour the silicon mold material in that they will tear when I remove the bezel.
Any ideas?

3D print and glue the clips on after. You could mould the clip potentially, but a ot of extra effort. 3D printing is typically the way to go on this
