Hello everyone. I know that if I lay carbon fibre on to aluminium I should either use glass fibre between the two materials, or possibly have the ally part anodised. Is the same true for using CF and mild steel? I have looked but cant seem to find any info for this situation. Thanks for any advice.

You can mitigate against the galvanic corrosion issues by adding a very thin layer of woven glass between the carbon and metal. Even a thicker layer of resin or even paint layer will usually suffice.
